About the Course:

Bhagavatamrta-vicara is a blended course of Laghu-Bhagavatamrta by Srila Rupa Goswami and Brhad-Bhagavatamrta by Srila Sanatana Goswami.
Laghu-bhagavatamrta is the condensed essence of the essence of Srimad-Bhagavatam in the sense that it supports that conclusion of the Bhagavatam, that Krishna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Laghu-bhagavatamrta concisely reveals the significant aspects of Gaudiya philosophy that would be accepted and echoed by all successor acaryas in the line of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu.

Brihad bhagavatamrita contains an exposition of the teachings of Caitanya from an ontological and metaphysical perspective. Sri Brhad-bhagavatamrita is in two cantos: Purva-khanda, or first, and Uttar-khanda, or last. The name of the First Canto is Sri Bhagavat-krpa-sara-nirdharana khanda – Ascertaining the Essence of the Mercy of the Supreme Lord. The Second Canto is known as Sri Golokamahatmya- nirupana khanda – Ascertaining the Glories of Sri Goloka. Srimad-Bhagavatam is the essence of all scriptures. By churning that essence, this book, the Essential Nectar of the Bhagavatam, becomes manifested.
